Alvarez & Marsal appoints two senior directors

Louise Jenkins, Taxand 100x90

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) Taxand UK has appointed Louise Jenkins and Andrew Ponting, formerly of FTI Consulting, as senior directors in its European tax practice.

Jenkins will lead A&M’s compensation and benefits offering, advising clients on the design and implementation of incentive plans for senior employees. She has extensive experience in the UK and internationally. Jenkins has worked for EY and KPMG and joined FTI Consulting as a managing director in April 2017.

Ponting has more than 20 years of experience in international M&A and private equity tax matters. He has advised corporates on almost 100 transactions and more than 500 proposed transactions. His experience includes tax planning for NatWest, as well as managing international tax at Deloitte and the private equity team at PwC.

Jenkins and Ponting will work closely alongside Marvin Rust, who has just joined the firm as the new head of Taxand Europe.
