Lari Hintsanen is one of the leading tax experts in Finland. He is well known in the market for his expertise in international tax matters together with his vast restructuring and litigation experience.

When working as head of tax at Nokia Corporation, Lari gained extensive experience in advising the top management of a global group to find practical solutions to challenges in a variety of jurisdictions, covering topics like tax strategy, operational transfer pricing, tax controversies and beyond. More recently, Lari has been involved in broader finance transformation related tax initiatives. His best capabilities are innovativeness and an ability to inspire people working with him to excel themselves.

Lari is a member of Finnish Industries as well as the Tax Board of the Chamber of Commerce. While at Nokia, he was a business member of the EU Joint Transfer Pricing Forum.

Lari has an LLM from Helsinki University and postgraduate LLM in international tax law from Leiden University

Eija Kuivisto works as a senior manager in the corporate tax services group in PwC Helsinki, Finland. Eija has long and extensive experience in taxation. She is specialised in corporate taxation, but also has experience on other tax matters like transfer taxation, personal taxation and value added taxation.

During her career, Eija has focused on assisting international and listed companies. She also has a lot of clients among individuals and SMEs operating in different sectors. Eija has competence and experience on cross-border restructuring operations and EU tax law. She is also a well know litigator continuously assisting clients with their tax processes and appeals, like claiming back withholding taxes on various basis. Eija is also now involved in numerous M&A projects heading PwC teams and assisting both buy and sell side with due diligence, restructuring and contractual matters.

Before joining PwC, Eija worked as an attorney in one of the biggest commercial attorneys´ offices in Finland. She has also worked for other Big 4 companies and the Ministry of Finance in Finland, where she was the head participant in the meetings of the Commission and Council of the European Union. She has also trained at Helsinki District Court and has experience working as a judge.

Eija is a regular lecturer and has written several articles in various publications, including in Business Law International, Balanssi and Tilintarkastus (Finnish accounting and taxation publications).

Eija obtained a master of laws degree and trained at the bench.
