Hong Seok Han, Deloitte Korea, is a tax partner in charge of the indirect tax practice. He specialises in assisting multinational and local companies operating in Korea with a broad spectrum of tax matters, including value added tax, corporate income tax, withholding tax and transfer pricing issues, as well as accounting matters.

Hong Seok has 22 years of tax experience, primarily in VAT, international tax and business tax. Hong Seok has considerable experiences in VAT compliance and consulting services, such as tax due diligence, tax structuring, mock tax audit, tax audit defence, customs audit defence, and tax appeal.

Hong Seok has excellent skills in managing tax engagements for many multinational companies and domestic companies in various industries, including financial services, manufacturing, high-tech, automotive, wholesales, pharmaceutical, fashion and luxury brands and more.

Hong Seok has a master's degree in business administration from Seoul National University and is a member of the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountant (KICPA).

In Young Jung, Deloitte Korea, is the partner in charge of the customs and global trade (CGT) practice and provides comprehensive customs services including customs audit and investigation assistance, remedy through customs appeal, FTA origin management consulting, customs and trade advisory services and transfer pricing consulting services from the customs perspective.

Not only does In Young have extensive experience in many customs audit assistance as a customs audit specialist, but he also has professional knowledge in duty drawback, customs valuation, and FTA issues related to origin verification. On top of that, he currently is a member of customs valuation committee of Korea Customs Service.

In Young formerly worked for Ministry of Strategy and Finance, Korean Customs Service and its affiliates for 30 years, where he established a network of customs authorities. While working at the Ministry of Strategy and Finance for several years, In Young took on a governing role in customs valuation, was committed to creating sound customs policies, and was a major contributor for customs classification. In Young also has extensive experience in many customs audit assistance and is a certified customs attorney from the Korean customs authorities.
