She has been involved in advising multinational clients in Vietnam and potential investors in various areas including, but not limited to, direct investment, foreign exchange control, tax planning and compliance. Giang leads the government liaison team of PwC Vietnam. She maintains excellent relationships with key government offices to assist clients in clarifying tax and legal regulations. She has extensive experience in assisting clients to manage issues with the Prime Minister's office, Ministry of Finance, State Securities Commission, Ministry of Planning and Investment, and State Bank of Vietnam. In the Ministry of Finance, she maintains frequent and strong working relationships with officials of various departments under the General Department of Taxation and General Department of Customs. Giang spent three years working in Tokyo, where she gained experience in international taxation and transfer pricing, and advised potential Japanese clients on investing in Vietnam. In addition, Giang holds a bachelor's degree in banking and finance from the National Economics University, a BA from Hanoi University and an MBA in international technology from the Asian Technology Institute in Thailand. |

During this time, he has developed an excellent working relationship with Vietnam's tax authorities at national and local levels. Nam has extensive hands-on experience in tax dispute resolution and controversy services. He has been involved in a number of the largest, most complex, and unprecedented tax disputes in Vietnam. He meets regularly with local and national tax authorities to negotiate and address tax dispute and controversy issues on behalf of his clients. He is also a regular speaker on Vietnamese taxation at seminars and forums, both in Vietnam and in the surrounding region. Nam obtained his undergraduate and post-graduate education from Australian universities. He holds a master's degree in professional accounting and a fellowship of CPA Australia. He is also an elected board member of the Vietnam Tax Consultants' Association where he has been recognised by the Minister of Finance in 2011 and by the Prime Minister in 2013, for his excellent contributions to the development of the tax profession in Vietnam. Nam leads KPMG's tax dispute resolution and controversy services in Vietnam. Before joining KPMG, he was the national head of tax of another Big 4 firm in Vietnam. |
