European Tax Awards 2020: The winners

Congratulations to all winning companies, firms and individuals.

The winners of ITR’s 16th European Tax Awards have been announced, accompanied by a podcast of the key themes that emerged from this year's research.

ITR is delighted to announce the winners of the 16th ITR European Tax Awards.

Deloitte and EY have retained their crowns as European tax firm of the year and European transfer pricing firm of the year, respectively. These two firms also won a string of awards across Europe, Middle East and Africa in a number of categories.

Ørsted claimed the title as the European in-house direct tax team of the year, while AB Volvo and BASF were recognised as the leading in-house transfer pricing and indirect tax teams, respectively.

Baker McKenzie, Plesner and PwC were among the firms who won regional awards for their excellence.

Given the difficult environment due to COVID-19, we are unable to host an awards ceremony this year to recognise the work highlighted below. However, we remain keen to fulfil any promotions that firms would like to undertake on the back of their success and request that you contact ITR's head of business development for events, Jamil Ahad, with any queries.

Please also listen to our first ITR Awards podcast, where we discuss some of the key themes from the research.

A full list of shortlisted firms across all categories was revealed in April 2020.
