Aydin leads Deloitte’s Mid-Atlantic and Southeast transfer pricing practices of more than 70 professionals working on national and global clients. He is also the global life sciences industry leader for transfer pricing. Since 1998, Aydin has assisted clients with tax planning for intangible property (IP), IP development, cost sharing, and licensing strategies, and the planning and implementation of supply chain, digital principal, and business model restructurings. He developed a profit-split methodology addressing the issue of ‘non-outsourceable’ activities that has been the basis for a number of advance pricing agreements and Internal Revenue Service audit settlements.
More recently, Aydin has participated in panels and conducted presentations on the transfer pricing implications of the COVID pandemic and supply chain disruptions. He has also published a highly accessible book, Transfer Pricing in Action, sharing his experiences in a business-novel, case study format, focusing on an emerging multinational.
