Ichwan is a tax partner and the head of the tax practice at RSM Indonesia, with 25 years’ experience. He has provided tax advisory services to a wide range of multinational and domestic companies, mostly in the energy sector.
Ichwan obtained a master’s degree in international tax law from the International Tax Centre at Leiden University, the Netherlands, and a master’s degree in business administration from the Prasetiya Mulya Business School, Indonesia. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in law from the Faculty of Law at the University of Indonesia, at which he is now pursuing a PhD in international tax law.
Ichwan is a registered tax consultant and a licensed advocate, as recognised by the Indonesian Bar Association (Peradi), and a registered tax attorney at the Indonesian Tax Court. He is the chair of the Indonesian branch of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) and vice-chair of the Asia-Pacific region at the IFA.
