Karen Smolka

Karen is a senior manager in Deloitte Germany’s Munich transfer pricing team. She graduated from the University of Potsdam with a degree in economics and law. With nine years of experience in transfer pricing and international tax – specifically focusing on the industrial products and construction, defence, and consumer goods industries – Karen advises clients along the entire transfer pricing life cycle.

One of her specialisations is transfer pricing advisory related to digital business models. She coordinates several projects for clients in the IP&C industry, from planning to documentation and tax audit defence.

Before joining Deloitte, Karen worked in transfer pricing positions in consulting and multinational enterprises in the automotive, defence, and consumer goods industries. She is a certified German tax adviser and specialises in international taxation.
