Michael Nixon
Michael is a seasoned transfer pricing (TP) economics and tax law practitioner with over 20 years of experience in delivering successful advisory outcomes for clients. He has over 10 years of experience in the Asia-Pacific region. Michael advises clients on value chain alignment projects that deal with international tax, TP, and valuation issues, as well as tax policy, TP risk management, and audit defence matters. He has led multi-jurisdictional business restructuring projects including the movement of assets and people. Michael has successfully defended against multibillion-dollar audit adjustments and led TP risk assessment and advisory projects across multiple jurisdictions.
Previously, he worked as a senior adviser at the OECD within the tax treaty and TP unit. Michael led aspects of the work initiatives on the tax aspects of the digital economy, including amount A, amount B, and pillar two, as well as other OECD TP projects. He also led the regional TP practice for Baker McKenzie as a partner and worked in the ‘big four’.
