Ryan McMahon

Ryan is a director in Deloitte UK’s financial services transfer pricing team. Prior to joining Deloitte, he spent over 10 years at HMRC, where he led the UK tax authority’s financial services transfer pricing. That role entailed being the financial services policy owner for advance pricing agreements and mutual agreement procedures, and having a governance role with oversight of all large financial services transfer pricing audit issues.

During that time, Ryan led the UK’s relationship with the major financial services jurisdictions, such as the US and Japan. He was the vice-chair of the OECD’s Forum on Tax Administration MAP Forum and was a UK delegate on the OECD’s Working Party 6 during the development of the financial transactions chapter (now Chapter X in the OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and Tax Administrations 2022).

Ryan has a degree in economics and finance, a distinction in the Advanced Diploma in International Taxation, and an MSc in taxation (distinction) from Christ Church College, University of Oxford.
