Sridhar comes with over 24 years of experience and specializes in investment structuring, corporate restructuring, tax planning, ESOP planning, drafting and negotiating agreements, and assisting with the ongoing compliance requirements under Indian corporate laws, including foreign exchange regulations.
A significant part of his career was spent in New Delhi, where he worked at PWC and dealt with complex, varied tax and regulatory matters of multinational corporations. He moved to Chennai in 2006 and ran a boutique consulting firm where he was looking after tax, regulatory and mergers and acquisitions functions before joining Grant Thornton in India.
His clients spans across sectors including manufacturing, telecom and technology, pharmaceuticals, retail and consumer, financial services, not for profit, education, Special Economic Zones, and industrial parks.
He is a regular speaker on foreign direct investment policy, exchange control law, special economic zones, and income-tax law in forums across India, including the ICAI, ICSI and various trade or professional bodies. He is the author of a book on Exchange Control Law published by Bloomsbury.
